The Objective of Q-CERT Malware Lab (Q-LAB) is to build the capability to measure, analysis, and protect from malware threat on National Level. Today Q-LAB collects most of the malware exist in QATAR Cyber Space to do the following:
- Study the behavior of the malware and changes may be done over the system after infection.
- Analyze any internet connection to the external world like Command & Control servers.
- Measure the weight of every malware to evaluate the risk associated with specific malware threat by volumes of the malware and detection by all anti-virus engines exists in the market.
- Study the source of malware based on country and this helps in following the status in purpose of early detection for specific malware originating from certain country.
Q-CERT Malware Lab (Q-Lab) is available for Government and Semi-Government IT professional to submit any suspicious files for analysis purpose and the user will receive a comprehensive report for the submitted file.
