Cyber Security Division has initiated 2 Industry/Sector Related Expert Committees (IRECs), which are essentially groups focused on governance of critical information infrastructure protection (CIIP) per sector. The Energy-IREC and Finance-IREC.
The IREC is a collaborative, “trusted”, and non-competitive entity that provides its members with a “sector specific” forum where critical Information security issues are identified and dealt with and improve preparedness of the sector members for the collective benefit of both the sector and the nation. The IREC is intended to deal with a wide range of security issues such as sector specific risks and vulnerabilities, incident handling, emerging threats, business continuity and disaster recovery, and mitigation strategies, to name a few. The work accomplished by the IRECs is intended to be disseminated across the membership and other constituencies, including other sectors, as appropriate.
Subscription to IRECs Extranet is per invitation only.
